(AOTA 2020), “In occupational therapy, occupations refer to the everyday activities that people do as individuals, in families, and with communities to occupy time and bring meaning and purpose to life. Occupations include things people need to, want to, and are expected to do."
I’m Nicole Cipriani, an occupational therapist with 20 years of experience with the ND population at various life stages. I’ve worked in a variety of settings, mainly focusing on sensory integration, motor coordination, visual perception, and executive functioning to support children and adults on the journey of understanding how their neurodivergency affects their experience. I talk about it all, including my own experiences as an ND therapist as host of the OccYouPod!
My aim is to do my part in helping humans understand themselves and their loved ones, with a greater understanding of their life’s purpose and motivations, and with the skills to resolve challenges in the way that works best for them. Here’s the thing: I’m ADHD so I do best when I can mix things up a little!
